Call of Duty: Strike Team
It just wouldn’t be a best shooting games list without a Call of Duty entry somewhere. Strike Team came out earlier this year to mixed initial reviews but has since found its stride with gamers. It has your standard first-person action and then there are parts where it zooms out and you play third-person for a little while.It has good graphics, a decent amount of content, and people seem to really like the mobile Call of Duty.

The franchise is incredibly popular and millions of people have played these titles. Dead Trigger 2 was released to positive reviews and it features some of the best graphics on the mobile platform. The thing is that Dead Trigger 1 is still pretty fantastic on the grand scheme of things so we decided to include them both. You really can’t go wrong wither way and they’re both free to play!

The graphics and story are both pretty good and there is enough jumping and shooting to keep you busy for a while. It’s also one of the few that have taken full advantage of the touch screen because you must swipe and tap your way pretty much everywhere and it’s not the same old joystick mechanics.

Fields of Battle

However, instead of shooting bullets at bad guys, you’re shooting paint balls. It also features some top notch customization and a lot of content for players to enjoy. It’s a great game and it’s also good for people who don’t want the blood and gore of a traditional shooter while still having all of the elements that make a shooter fun.

The graphics are everything you could want in a zombie game and it’s free to play (with in app purchases). What is it about killing zombies that is so much fun?

Into the Dead

You play as a character who survived the zombie apocalypse and now must run for his/her life. You can pick up weapons like guns and chainsaws, mow down zombies, and it all happens in the first person perspective. However, you are also running forward forever and you must mow down the zombies in front of you. Otherwise you lose the game. It’s a fun premise even if it’s not a pure shooter and it is free to play.

It’s side scrolling shooter where you must shoot bad guys in the background while you travel in the foreground. It’s free to play and currently has an astounding 4.7 rating in the Google Play Store.

Mass Effect Infiltrator (when it works)

It has similar graphics to the Mass Effect series on console and PC as well as similar game play so fans of the series will feel right at home. You can play the game, upload game data, and directly affect your Mass Effect 3 gaming experience which is also really awesome. The only problem is that it seems to be one of those games that either works perfectly or doesn’t work at all. We recommend that if you buy this title, make sure you test it out thoroughly within the refund time in case you need to get your money back. If it does work, this is a pretty spectacular game.

Modern Combat 4 and 5
The Modern Combat series didn’t start out that well but the last two iterations have been phenomenal. So phenomenal that they are considered iconic. Whether or not gamers prefer Modern Combat 4 or 5 more is solely dependent on their preferences so instead of recommending one, we’re recommending both. They both feature top-of-the-line first person shooter game play with a decent campaign mode. Modern Combat 5 has (predictably) better graphics and a more robust multiplayer experience.

N.O.V.A. 3 – Near Orbit
N.O.V.A. 3 Near Orbit is another Gameloft game. In this one you join humanity as they try to take back Earth after years of exile. There are aliens, war, shooting (duh), and a bunch of weapons to choose from. There is also 12-player multiplayer that you can play in six game modes. The graphics are top notch and the solo campaign mode is pretty good also. Fans of space shooters will want to give this one a closer look.

Zombie Gunship
[Price: Free with in app purchases]Zombie Gunship is another unique premise of an old concept. You’ll be mowing down nearly endless hoards of zombies like you usually do in zombie games. However, instead of the usual methods, you’ll be manning a gun on a helicopter and mowing them down from the sky. It features a fun graphic layout that looks like you’re looking through a scope the whole time which is a nice touch. The point is that you’ll be providing safety for survivors while you shoot. You lose when they die. It’s free to play and it’s pretty fun.

Zombiewood
[Price: Free with in app purchases]Zombiewood is last on our list and it’s also the most goofy shooter on it. In this third-person shooter you’ll be mowing down zombies in various “movies” which are really just nomenclature for levels. There are are a lot of playable characters and weapons to unlock and enjoy. The graphics and game play are lighthearted and fun. It’s free with in app purchases and there is more content added frequently. It also has things like leaderboards so you can see how well you stack up against friends.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Feature Focus – Multitasking
Multi-window is a familiar feature for anyone who has used a Galaxy Note smartphone before, and is also one of the most useful. Pressing and holding the capacitive back button opens up the list of applications that are compatible with the Multi-window feature, and it’s great to see that the list has been growing from iteration to iteration. Hold and drag the applications you want to use, placing them at the top and bottom depending on your convenience, and that’s how easy it is.
Now, an easier way to access the Multi-window feature is through the Recent Apps screen, that can be opened by pressing the capacitive Recent Apps button on the left of the physical home button. The Recent Apps screen itself has received a makeover, taking on a card motif, making it easier to scroll through, and swipe away apps you aren’t using. This makes one of the main ways to use multi-tasking a lot smoother as well. Each card now also comes with a multi-window shortcut icon. Tapping the icon opens up a list of apps that were most recently used with this feature, and swiping to the right gives you the full list of apps that are compatible with multi-window.
Creating floating windows or also very easy. Open the list of apps by pressing and holding the back button, and instead of holding and dragging, just tapping on an application will open it in a floating window. This gives you the option to open multiple apps at the same time, and from there, you can create floating heads for each of the apps that you want, making it very easy access apps that you use often.
The final way to multitask is when you have a single app open, you can drag from the top right corner to make it a floating window. This is another way to create floating windows, instead of accessing the multi-window menu, or from the list of apps. From here, you can of course, go back to all the other modes of multitasking easily and seamlessly.
If you weren’t a fan of the multitasking options on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, then features like the floating head and windows isn’t something you may use. But what is great about multitasking on the Galaxy Note 4 is how much easier it is, with various options to open, close, and switch between the various compatible apps. The list of apps is also always growing, with the ones users most often use already available.
